World Silhouette Museum

The World Silhouette Museum presents the works of the artist Fujishiro Seiji. He is a well-known Japanese Kage-e artist. "Kage-e" is the Japanese art of cut-out art based on the principle of silhouettes. He uses hand-cut multicolored paper and translucent plastic materials to create images with fairy tale illustrations.
Silhouette is the craft of paper cutting and thought of lights, mirrors and water to present the picture.
Also, he specially designed the Lake Shirakaba four seasons view big picture for us which is a limited piece only in the museum exclusively.
After visiting the museum, you can try to make your own paper cutting art pieces in the workshop too!
There are paper cutting, DIY gel candles max , kaleidoscope, etc. It will be a memorable souvenir.

Indoor heated Swimming Pool with slide

Guests can use the pool all year round, whether it is a rainy summer or snowy winter.
From April to October, the average indoor temperature is 30°C. Dec to Mar is about 32°C.
Swimming suits and float rings are also available for rent.

Bowling alleys

We have a bowling ramp for kids to support them to enjoy the fun.
You can get the result sheet after the game.
Bowling shoes are available to rent.

Winter Activities

There is a sledding area and kids ski area, and a small animal park for you to enjoy.
Different kinds of sleds, snow racers, and baby cruisers are available to rent for children and adults.

Ikenotaira Hotel and Shirakaba Resort Snowpark are connected. Shirakaba Resort Snowpark has mainly two areas. Ski lift No.1 area ski slope is suitable for intermediate and advanced level. Ski lift No.2 area ski slope is suitable for beginner level.
From hotel to ski area (Ski lift No.1 area, it is just next to the hotel entrance.
Going to Ski lift No. 2 area , it is just 5 mins on foot or take a free Pota free shuttle bus.
In Ski lift No. 2 area , Ikenotaira Ski school provides beginner ski/snowboard private lesson with English speaking coaches.

There is a sled area as well as a kids ski area, small animal park for you to enjoy watching the animal.

Rental cycle

Cycling is a good way to sightscean more places than traveling on foot. In Lake Shirakaba , bicycle rental service is available. You can have different kinds of activities along the lake. Convenience store Resort Lawson and some handmade soba restaurants are a good choice for you to take a break.
