About Lake Shirakaba

Lake Shirakaba is located at the western foot of Mt.Tateshina-yama (8,301 feet) in the northern part of Chino City, Nagano Prefecture, and belongs to Yatsugatake Chushin Kogen Quasi-National Park. It is 9m deep and about 1,416 meters altitude.

Shirakaba Resort is located on the highland with stunning nature and fresh air. Lake Shirakaba and mountain views are the core factors.

Spring

Spring is the best season to start to plan outdoor activities.

At shirakaba resort, you can rent a bike then go cycling along the lake. You can also ride a swan boat on the lake. While walking around, you can breath fresh air of our natural environment and enjoy a special day with family and friends during your stay.

Summer

The location is at about an altitude of 1,416 meters highlands so the weather is very nice during every season. Even in summer, the average temperature is 26 degrees. Therefore, it is easy to relax.

The view of Lake Shirakaba changes from September to November.
The weather in autumn is suitable to go hiking. Nearby Shirakaba Resort, you can find many pathways and country parks along the mountain.

Winter

In Shirakaba resort, there are two ski slopes for beginners and advanced skiers. We have a ski rental shop located right next to the ski resort. We provide ski equipment for children and adults. We also have snow park that you can rent a sled to have fun!
